Error Code 5 - Are most folks getting resolution/correction within hours or days?

I've been down for a 7 days and have regularly called Yahoo Premium Mail technical services. I collected a call report number every day, but I've received absolutely no official guidance on resolution. At this time, all of my mail is forwarded to a gmail.com account. But, I have absolutely no access to my archived email. They tell me others have this problem, but based on my Internet searching, I don't see this as an extensive issue. Thoughts? Should I abandon Yahoo Mail, request a credit for services, and establish an account with gmail?

I just started having this problem today so I opened "add & remove programs" with the idea that I could remove yahoo mail and re-install it...but after I removed yahoo mail it worked fine.....try that...hope it works.
