My sister in law that was living with me left without notice and left me with bills? |
I have an irresponsible sister in law ( 19 years old) that left with all her stuff on Monday and left a letter. I am upset she let strangers into the house without me knowing to help her move. She left me with a $700 credit card bill she had been paying since last year for a laptop she purchased and e-mailed her and told her if she does not pay for the credit card she has to return the laptop. I also told her she has to transfer liability on the phone line if not pay the cancellation fee for $200. Do you think this is unreasonable?? Then she is forwarding the e-mail I sent to all her friends鈥?laughing about it. Then she calls me and tries to be a hypocrite to check if some mail arrived. What should I do just wait to see what happens? tell her to pay you what she owes or you will take her to small claims court .. you have to have proof she owes you this money ... if there was a contract or an agreement signed you should have no problems .. good luck. If you are serious about getting your money back, I would recommend small claims court. But if the money is not a big deal, and you want to maintain some sort of relationship with this young girl, you should just sever any financial ties. Dont allow her access to any of your credit cards and dont give her anything until she proves herself worthy of your trust. She is probably feeling like a jerk and is embarrased and that is why she is making light of the situation. Dont give her anything, and dont help her financially in anyway again. sue that *****, and get yo money back maybe you should 'TRY' and phone her..tell her your problems she left hehind..and maybe she'll feel bad enough ..and come back :) .... |
