Has anyone infos about perth? I want to move there from June to August 2008?

hi, i'm alex, an italian guy that wants to move frome sydney to perth for the last part of his australian trip. I'm looking for a tidy, clean but even not too much boring house, to share with easygoing people.
My aim is to find something not too expensive (max 150 dollars p\w) closed to bus stops or train station and if possible with mixed people into (male and female).
I'm planning to stay there for max of 3 months, the deadline will be the end of august because I'will leave this amazing country forever.
Have anyone suggestions? do anyone know what would be suitable?

Hey - Im from NZ and I too am going to Perth in August to live for a while.

I have found gumtree.com.au useful to look at short term offered flat shares - I think you'll find $150 is a reasonable amount to expect to pay. The websites also good for short term work as well.

Thats about all I can be helpful with, I've been to Perth before and its just beautiful. A must do is going to the Cott on Sunday (on cottesloe beach), for a drink. Might see ya there!
