Does this bother you too??? So called friends that send far too many forwardings?

Does this drive any one else crazy? I can't stand it anymore!
I have friends that sit at the computer and just hit the forward after forward buttom and they never say one word, no hello, not how are you , nothing personal.. ever. just junk that fills up my mail box. Am I wrong for getting a bit upset over this? Come on, they coud at least say hello or something couldn't they? Does it happent to you too... and if so, do you just delete like I do??

It seems so impersonal, one person sometimes send 15 or more a day, and I have a couple friends that do this. But are they friends if they cant even include a little personal message?

OMG, I hate this too, especially when it's one of those so-called inspirational messages that have the veiled threats at the end (forward this to 216 people in the next 17.1 seconds or you'll grow warts on your nose, your ears will fall off...etc.)

I have greatly decreased the number of forwards I get by:

1) checking out the BS ones on snopes.com and sending a "reply all" that says it's an urban legend and includes the link

2) sending back the inspirational message but without the threatening part at the end. I include a message like "Here are your happy wishes back .. without the strings attached."

3) with one person who was sending me multiple forwards every day, I ended up flat out telling them that if they sent me any more forwards I would put them on my blocked list.

I know some of these might come across as rude, but so is sending all these silly forwards without as much as a "Hi. how's it going?"

I eliminate most of these messages, unless I haven't heard from the sender in a while. I didn't receive anything from a friend in weeks and it turned out she had brain cancer and was in the hospital. I called to find that out. Some friends seldom send them, others send everything. Read it if you want, delete it without reading and dash off a letter to say hi if you want. Some people just don't know what to say.

Not so much ss the ones where you have to send to dozens of people or else; this drives me crazy and now I simply delete them. I have one friend who has the web thing and sends so many messages my mail gets really full and also she doesn't work any more and has all this time which i do not and it drives me nuts but she is really nice and sensitive so I just delete some and read some.
