Do you think this is "cheating?"?

2 days ago I recently found out that my husband of 8 years masturbates on the average of one time a day?
鈥?He has been part of a Yahoo "group" called CamelToe and I am sure others. He forwards emails to the "group" and then other email addresses appear next to the first address. This means he is emailing other people personally right? Anyway, he told me (after I found out by accident) that he watches porn regularly. I don't have a problem with that, I have a problem that he didn't do it with me and hid it for this many years. He even told me that after I fell asleep he would take his computer to the bathroom and "beat off"..Also when he got home from work he went right to the computer to check what I thought to be his e mail, come to find out he was checking this group and ....I don't know what else? 鈥 asked if he has met these women, do they send sexually explicit emails to one another and the like. He denies this vehemently. So my question is do you think it is cheating?

In my opinion it's cheating for the following 3 reasons:
He's putting these things above you.
Was doing it without you're knowledge.
Cheating is simply another form of lying, which is what he was doing.

No its not cheating.. How can having sex with yourself be cheating!

Masturbation -- self-gratification -- is not cheating. It's a prefectly normal way to relieve sexual tension and to give oneself pleasure.

HOWEVER, turning to others, directly, on the internet, for stimulation, is skirting waaay too close to the line. I don't really count porn, because there's no immediacy -- you're one step removed from the action, so to speak. But when you actively engage in fantasy, etc. with strangers, then yeah, you're getting a little too close.

The major problem with it is that, if you are spending all that time seeking gratification from a stranger, you aren't spending that time developing intimacy with your spouse. It's not cheating, exaclty, but it's a sign that you and he have some issues to work on. Consider counseling, to improve the communication between you and him.
