DOES HE LIKE ME? help?

he always compliments me, is nice to me, etc. when I was sick he kept asking me of I was okay and capable of doing these practices. we also have a lot of small talk.. but he still seems nervous around me. like he will sometimes stutter or look down if i compliment him/congratulate him. (only does this for me.)
then i mailed him.... he seemed sort of like... really short answers and didnt reply back to my reply...
when i saw him , i think he was looking at me, then when i came closer he looked at the wall. then at practice he asked me how I was doing (didnt ask anyone else) and sort of smiled, then looked down after the converstation ended?
in hallways, he never says hi to me or looks at me. he usually turns his head or will look forward.. but he looks extremely sad almost?

I know he has had a girlfriend, but they broke up. and it was bad. (i'm almost 16 freshman, he is 17 junior...)

Next time he says hi to you, lean forward and give him a little kiss on the cheek. That should get him out of his slump. Before you know it, you'll have a boyfriend and he'll be under your thumb.

he likes you but he may be just afraid of getting hurt....it seems as though you mayb like him to..maybe you should go up to him when hes at his locker...tap him on the shoulder and say hi and walk away..try to talk to him in the hallways..take some chances!!

if he doesn't talk to you, talk to him.
but don't throw yourself at him, he's probably still on the rebound, so just try to be friend to him, encourage him to be comfortable around you and if things click, roll with 'em!

my guess is he does talk t him more and get him out of his shy area show him more that you wanna talk but if there is nothing to say bring up random crap and be funny......it is sometimes to give the guy a little push from the comfort zone.
