Employed Widout work !!!!!!!!! Help needed?

I am working with MNC spcly for Refrigerator products as a marketing executive. my problem is when i joined [its about one year] at that time my superior boss was not happy with me and dont assign me any work. Although he has lot of experience in home appliances and consumer durable company but he dont have masters degree and i appointed directly from company after my MBA degree. So he is he is jelous of me and feeling insecure everytime. My branch head is also not supportive and think that he is a new guy and novice what he can do ?? so he also dont help me or motivate me to do anythng.
Can you people help me out what should i do to come in lime light and also able to utilize my work coz i only seat in office and do nothing apart from sending some routine mails. :-(

So, at your job they pay you to send a few emails? At my job they pay me to suffer temperature extremes, lift and carry a lot of heavy stuff, stand on my feet all day, run up and down several flights of concrete stairs several times a day, and keep several rowdy teens in line. Wanna trade?!

I'm just saying, be careful what you wish for. But if you really want something challenging, go out there and find it. Not every company has the same kind of office atmosphere. Some are casual, some formal, some friendly, and some keep it all business. Keep looking till you find one where you fit in.

One of the first things you said was when you started, your boss wasn't happy with you. You probably wouldn't get a straight answer from him if you asked, but have you ever found out why your boss wasn't happy with you?

Maybe you could attack the problem from a different angle. Leave yourself a little vulnerable. Show him that you're not an idiot; meaning that you notice that other workers are getting the assignments & ask your boss if he notices any shortcomings from you so you can work on them. The best offense is a good defense.

Lastly, the impression I got from the presentation of your letter, you should lose the attitude that your boss is jealous of you. In my opinion, albeit humble, that should be the last thing on your mind.

Your boss is not jelous of you, he's just up to his butt in idiots right now. Just be thankful you have an office to seat in.
