How can i reduce network cables needed? |
i work in a office and in the conference room we have a bunch of network cables to get onto our network but as people hook them up and then take them out of their computers it makes a mess of wires. is there any way of reducing the amount of cables needed to get onto our server? i.e. a wireless device any ideas would help.... thanks buy a "Linksys Wireless-G Router", and then buy "AirLink Super G Wireless PCI" adapters for the computers you want to connect. enable wireless encryption and your good to go. this would probably be the cheapest upgrade You could make all the computers wireless. That would cost around 40 dollars per computer, and the all of the wires coming from the server would have to be hooked up to a wireless router. Wireless mice and keyboards, wireless usb adapters and wireless speakers (or built-in speakers). That should do it! |
