Video conference interview?

I have been asked to have a small interview thru video confernce using SKYPE and/or WiNDOW LIVE MESSENGE. Can any one give me necessary details about what all i have to do to configure my computer and should i give this interview sitting in room or there are some formal thigs .
Is it direct webcam chat or some thing else.
pls help me out

If it's a video conference you will need to have a webcam & a high speed access line. Then you will need to go to skype & download it & the manual. & if I were you I'd do a trial run or 2 before the interview. & try to do it in as formal as a setting as you can. Look fluffy out of the room & pick up your mess, you will be judged on your surroundings. Though, I'm not sure why an interviewer would request you do this unless they knew you had all of the necessary equipment & know how, not to mention the invasion of privacy issue.

You might consider saving yourself the headache & use kinko's video conferencing.

SKYPE is the easiest. You need a webcam and a microphone and speakers (or headset with microphone). Download Skype at
http://www.skype.com and plug in the speakers, webcam etc and then start Skype and create a username .. then Skype should take yopu thru the setup for your hardware.

For the interview dress nice and make sure the area behind you looks clean and decent..does'nt matter too much what room it is.

One caution..be sure you are dealing with a real company. I am not sure why they can't just do an interview with you over the phone. Do you KNOW who this is? Just be careful in case this is some sort of scam..
