What's up with speaker phone?

Are people really THAT busy that they can't spare five seconds to actually pick up the phone to answer a simple question? Why do you have to broadcast your conversation across the entire office? I can understand conference calls, callers who have two people in one room and want to talk with the person here at the office, but seriously--I'm calling you to ask about submitting an invoice for a client. WHY can't you pick up the phone and just hold the handset for a few seconds?? Does this annoy anyone else?

To me, that just proves that you think your time is better than someone else's if you're multitasking while on the phone with me. It's like people who are constantly late for meetings, movies, dinner parties, etc. I'm more important than you, so you have to wait for me to show up before you start eating, go into the theater, etc. F that--that's just plain rude!

Get over it, your not transmitting the secret plans for the new missles system.
What's the big deal?
I use it cause it's easier to write and/ or look things up in a book.

Edit- Hello, you're at work, if you are calling in an invoice the guy will probably need to write it down, hence, it would be easier with both hands, so you get the speaker phone.
I don't know where you went with the dinner and a movie stuff. I thought you were POed about speaker phones, make up your mind.
