Did I get played or does he really care?

Over the weekend I went to a conference out of the state that I live in. I met someone that was really cool and we hung out. there seemed to be an attraction between the two of us. Later that evening after we dropped our friend off at his hotel room, he asked if I would escort him to his room. I said of course. Got there and he asked if I wanted to chill for a bit and I went in. We were talking and well we started to cuddle and was about to make out when he said that he wasnt sure he was allowed to do this. He worked for the organization that held the conference and I was college activist particapating at the conference. He just started the job, and didnt know what the boundaries were when it came to being with the people who attend these conferences. he told me that he was attracted to me and that he wanted to make out. we both found out that we live 3 hours away from each other. My question is did I get blown off or could there be something? We both decided to be friends for now.

I don't mean to sow the seeds of paranoia but are you sure he isn't married/have a girlfriend?His behaviour just seems a bit weird.
If you do think he's single let him know your interested then wait for him to call; if he likes you he will contact you and if he doesn't then he won't.

if time goes by and he doesnt look further into it to see if it's okay for him to see you, then he obviously doesnt care enough. if he does look into it and tries to work it out somehow then he does care!

Hey!!! I think you should give this guy the benefit of a doubt as they say. time will tell if he's for real, and who knows, if he is-He must really be an honest guy to admit to you the things he did. Not many guys these days would have NOT taken the opportunity that he had with you for a one niter!!!!! Good luck and keep your fingers crossed!!!! It could be real!!!!!

No you didn't get played maybe it was for the better in time you'll know the reason just chill and wait for it but seems like you want to do something and if you act on it you might get played but there is nothing wrong with a one night stand if you can handle how you might feel the next day

Chances are he was interested at least at the time if he asked you to his room. And most guys, they don't blow you off until after they have had their interest satisfied. Maybe he is actually responsible ? In any event, ask him to talk to his supervisor and inquire about the rules of dating. Sounds like if you already attended and that your participation in the future in unlikely, nothing should prevent you from hooking up now.

no you didn't get blown off. if he wanted to blow you off there would have been no point in inviting you into the hotel room. There's def. something if you guys were talking about how far away you lived from each other, that hints that he wants to see you outside the conference!

I bet he says that to all the girls! This is not the first time he has used that line and for sure it is not the last! You got played! You will never hear from him again-unless he ends up in your town and needs to get laid-then maybe he will call you!

It sounds like only time will tell but,
he may have had legit feelings and felt uncomfortable with his own situation working for this company and possibly being fired for having a sexual encounter while on the job!
It could have just frightened him enough to tell you what his concerns were. He may have even been correct in his feelings. There is humiliation that comes with being fired for something like that on the job.
You can find out if he was just blowing smoke by making a date. Try that and see how serious he was. Good luck

No you didn't get played, unless the guy just really doesn't know what he is doing. If he were to play you it would be a shady exit the morning after Hun. It sounds to me like he may be emotionally unavailable, i.e. just broke up with the ex he's still kinda hung up on and doesn't want to start something new just yet. Either that or he really is concerned about the job thing. Which ever one of the three options its highly unlikely that you got played, however if it turns out to be the ex/emotionally unavailable thing he still won't talk to you much.
