The Orlando Magic Are Going Deep into the Playoffs and Possibly to the Finals?

When I made that prediction in preseason, people thought I was crazy but now we see they have the best record in the Eastern Conference. As far as the East goes:
- Miami is done without Shaq
- Cleveland is one Lebron injury away from nothingness
- Philly no depth

Now Orlando has it all:. Dwight Howard is a good scorer and rebounder, Grant Hill's reliable now that he's healthy, Jameer Nelson and Carlos Arroyo both average 16 points per game, Darko gets alot of blocked shots and his scorring has increased. Orlando's got alot of depth.

I know some people will try and heckle, but unless you're from Utah or San Antonio you don't have much room to talk.

I agree with you about this team's potential down the road, especially if Grant Hill can stay healthy...Orlando is a very deep, talented, versatile and intelligent basketball team...I'd like to see them and Cleveland in the Eastern finals

It is pretty tough to predict the playoffs just a month into the NBA season. But you seem to have done it. Apparently Orlando is a great team all of a sudden even with no playoff experience and when they rely on the injury riddled legs of Grant Hill. Don't get me wrong, I love Grant Hill, but it is very early in the season. There is no book on how Darko will handle playing big minutes for an entire NBA season. Jameer Nelson and Carlos Arroyo are ok, but how will they matchup against the more experienced guards in the east, like Chauncey Billups and Jason Kidd? Dwight Howard is outstanding, but can he shoulder the load? I think that teams like Detroit and New Jersey will be able to keep them from making a deep playoff run.

well all i know is that the celtics will have a dynasty soon with 7 guys or somethin under 22. The will also have a leader; peirce

Playoffs yes, Finals? No....
They need some playoff experience first, before they can get past Cleveland, Detroit, or Miami (once they wake up). They need to play together more, like a year or two, to build chemistry before they can think about the finals (realistically, just like Team USA). They have promise though, and Dwight is the man.

Orlando is very good this year, no doubt about it. However they don't have any playoff experience. A lot of people say that experience doesn't matter, but it does has it's effect. And yes Orlando has a great starting five and you say they have a lot of depth. But i think their best person off the bench is Deshaun Stevenson. As for Utah.....if they don't colappse and miss the playoffs entirely, i think a lakers, kings, spurs, suns, nuggets, or even the hornets can knock them out.

Darko is my boy. Did anyone see him at the worlds. What a beast. Once he feels that comfortable in the NBA he will dominate. I predicted them going deep into the playoffs last year. And they could have gone deep into the playoffs last year if we had gotten rid of Steve Francis earlier and gotten Darko and Arroyo earlier. Our record was horrible thanks to Francis. Howard is a BEAST to say the least. Player of the month along with Yoa Ming. The eastern conference is ****. The pistons are our biggest obstilce. I don't really know what your question is but ya the Magic will go deep into the playoffs this year (or they will get knocked out in the first round because they don't have a lot of veterens). And you're not the only one who predicted that they will. As soon as they went on that winning streak last year we showed up on everyones radar. The only people who doubt the Magic are those who don't watch the NBA and some of the Media. They think that we are getting lucky. They'll find out that they were wrong soon enough.
