Someone is tapping my phone line?

i live in an apartment so there are other people living around here.. and the thing is the telephone line maybe somewhere in the back of the unit. So i have a panasonic 3 handsets located in 3 different room. Sometimes i talk to my gf and get in a fight lets say. I would hang up. Then couple seconds later i pick up and i still hear her yelling on the other side of the fone. i pressed OFF already and even though the other 2 fones of mine is not picked up. that means no 3 way conference with in the house. i even unplug the fone line and plug it back in and its i still here my gf. im pretty sure somebody has tapped the fone line. because wen i disconnect my line, their line is still in use so it wouldnt hang up..

how do i deal wit this?? do u guys think they tapped my phone line? how do i catch them and serve them a big d*ck of wat we like to call justice?

You phone is not taped.

I would wager it is your cordless that is causing the issue. Since it is essentially a radio connection between the base and handset, most phones are designed with a couple of seconds delay to prevent premature disconnect.

Also you mentioned that you are in an apartment building. Since the switch system at the central office is current driven you can have line ghosting with a bad ground lift causing the line to stay on. I suggest that you hook up a wired phone (one that does not plug into the wall to see if you have the same issue. instead of contacting the phone company contact your landlord since they will have responsibility for inside wiring.

someone has been sending me tex messages from my girlfriends phone but its not her i found out who it was n they told my that they used a program on windows xp and they have been calling using my gf number but its other people how is that possible what program do they use Report It

Call the phone line and tell them that the line is not disconnecting when you hang up, they will come and troubleshoot the line.

Contact the phone company and get them to come out and check the line, try unplugging all 3 phones u will know for sure then if reconnect 1 and the lines is still open.

I agree with the other two gentlemen who have recommended that you contact your Telephone Agent.
I cannot see any other solution for you.
