Colleg help (michigan state univ.)?

im a senior in hs, and planning on attending michigan state university. im not sure if i'm going to get in yet tho. i just sent in my 7th semester grades and they were v. good. i had a semester gpa of 3.5. but my cumulative is around 3.2. my act score was a 23. i got v. good scores in math (24) and english(28) and in writing part (10). ive been taking AP classes and earned As in them. im taking college classes. i took 8 credits last semester, and now im taking 6 credits. i have a big work load, so will that impress them? im v. involved in school and volunteering. spent most of summer volunteering at the hospitals, etc. im in a lot of clubs at school and play sports. is there still room at MSU for me? i have v. good leadership qualities and have been on leadership conferences, etc. do u think i can get in? anyone that went to Michigan state university would be a good help! ive really been trying hard in my last yr and make them see im not slacking off. so will i get in?

btw, i sent my application in september. they asked for my 7th semester grades so i just mailed those. ill b hearing from them soon, i know. the person who is going to look at my application came to my school to answer questions, etc. so i sent her a thankyou card as well. my counselor is going to send a letter to her about how i have improved in my senior year, etc.

Seems to me like you will have no trouble getting in. You have good grades in class and on your tests and are involved in extracurricular activities. I applied and was accepted to MSU when I was applying to colleges a couple years ago, although my cumulative GPA was a bit higher but I was still involved in several in and out of school activities, but I think you should be fine and should be accepted. As a common sense rule to everyone when applying to colleges however, you should always apply to more than one, just in case. You never know what college admissions are looking for in prospective students each year and it's best to be safe. Good luck though!

Well, no one can tell you if you'll get in for sure except them. I got in with almost no extra curriculars, the only activity I did back then was participating in church youth group and work. I had something like a 3.3 cumulative GPA and a 26 on the ACT. I think if your grades were good the last semester, you should be fine, but there's always the possibility of being wait-listed so you should probably have a backup just in case. Good luck!

Your grades and act score seem okay enough, but by the way you are describing your extracurricular activities it looks like you may get in.I can't say for sure though. If you live in state, i think your chances are easier. They are looking for students who have progressed for the good over their h.s year. I got accepted early october with a 3.5 gpa, a 25 ACT without writing, and a 1550 on the new SATs with just two extracurriculars listed and I am out of state. I wish you all the best of luck!
