How do I deal with him traveling for work? He treats me so different while hes away!?

My boyfriend travels for work about once a month. Sometimes it is for a week, sometimes for a few days, sometimes even just one day. Most of the time he has to travel to go to business conferences but there are cases where will travel 10 hours on a plane to have dinner with a "client". Of course, I hate when he has to leave, but its part of his job so I deal with it. It is HOW he treats me while he is away/traveling. I rarely get more than one phone call a day (which I call him, and the conversation would never last more than 5 minutes). He acts like he is so busy (which I know he is at the conferences/meetings)but when I know for a fact (he has told me this), most of the time he just sits in his hotel room and goes online, yet he doesnt have the time to call, text or even IM me! How do I deal with this? He never says he misses me or asks how my day was like he would if he were home. It just really makes me mad he ignores me and treats me like crap while hes away. Why does he do this?

mmy bf always acts different when either of us are away, but he's always saying i lvoe you still, but the conversation is always weird and full of awkward silences..

if i were you i might sneak into his bags and look for the plane ticket to see if it was really a ten hour plane ride or if it was a two hour plane right wtih 8 hours of do whatever time but if he found out he might get really offended

i'd continue on asking him how is day was and just remember to be sweet the whole time so you cant get blamed for anyhing!!


and remember he might be weird because he suspect YOU are with someone!

He may be busy but not for 24 hrs of the day sounds like hes hiding something.

His indifference while away doesn't necessary mean he's cheating on you or doesn't care as much as you do. I know because I'm married for many years to a man that does exactly the same when he's away. He never calls and when I call him we don't speak for longer than a minute. Yet, after all these years I've come to accept that he's just not into phone conversations with me (although he can speak hours on the phone with other people!) because I know he loves me dearly and he'll never cheat on me. So, don't take this as a sign that he does not love you enough. If you trust him, that shouldn't be a problem, so don't allowed it to make you unhappy for nothing. Take care.
