What is the BEST laptop available?

I don't care about price. I'm only 14, but my little brother (10yr-old) are saving up for a laptop. I can't ask my dad cuz we're not telling him yet. And yes, my brother and I get along really well. lol

I'm looking for a LOT of hard drive space, and kinda light.

I was kind of interested in a laptop I saw in a commercial. When it was closed, it was so thin it could fit in an envelope. But I was curious as to how much hard drive and memory it could actually store.

We're not worried about prices. That's the LEAST of our concerns. For now we're just planning on saving up around $4000 anyway for later. In case we wanna transfer it after we get the laptop into getting a car or something.

Okay, here's some additional information.

We do travel some. But it's for sports usually. Gymnastics, soccer, cheerleading (thank god that's over! XD)

We're not going to be using it for documents as much as games. So that's why we need the space kinda.

We don't care about the webcam involved

We want a good battery with extras that will sustain for at least 3 yrs hopefully.

well, if price isn't your concern and want some hardcore features that will last a few years then i guess you can try looking at these models:

* Alienware Area-51m -http://www.alienware.com/products/area-5...
(it's not that thin or light, but its got the otion of having 1TB of hard disk space, 4gb RAM, and a core2 duo extreme processor plus it has a really nice sound system).

* HP Pavilion dv2700t - http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shoppi...
(a light one, but only a maximum of 320gb hard drive, 2gb RAM, 128mb video ram and it's only 5.29lbs)

the deal is, if you want more power and more disk space with laptops, you're gonna have to add a few extra weight to get those.

If money is no object search for alienware, they do some fantastic overclocked laptops. Very nice designs but are pricey. Not really value for money but if you want the best of the best look no further. (alienware XPS is VERY nice)

A "fully" equipped Alienware laptop system will run you around $7,000 and is ideal for gaming. CyberpowerPC systems are quite a bit less expensive and are also very nice for games.

Get a custom Dell XPS, because of their excellent customer service and affordability since in a few years you both will need your own laptop.
