CHENNAI IRR AND MRTS (phase III) is now progressing - can any one knows where Puzhuthivakkam will be located.

It is understood that as per MRTS guidelines, MRTS stations will be located at a distance of 1.2KM - Length of Station will be around 300M and width will be 30M (300x30M). If we take width of IRR(20M) it will be about 50M. -- Because of overhead Power Line MRTS Line will run from 5KM to 4.2KM in the surface (Land) - thjereafter it is understood that MRTS Line will be elevated. CMDA & TN govt. also have in principle proposal to utilise open air space of about 2,00,000 sq.M for commercial purpose. -- it is expected that rail ramp will run about 1.1 KM to reach highest level. MRTS train will have initially 6 coaches and then it will be increased to 9 coaches.- to carry around 90,000 passenger per hour. if we calculate, the station is likely to at 3000KM from Mount) 2000M away from Velachery. -- can anyone find out and tell the exact location of Puzhuthivakkam MRTS Station. CMDA have CITZEN QUARUM - PUBLIC HEARING (for hearing/redressal of grievances).they can be approached.

first answer is correct - but it represent to Adambakkam MRTS Rly. Station.
Between Velachery and St.Thomas Mount there are two stations one at Puzhuthivakkam and next at Adambakkam then MRTS joins at St. Thomas Mount.

It is said by many (not officially known) that Puzhuthivakkam Station will be 2000M away from Velacherry MRTS.

Any one knows the real fact.

if there any Official statement on this subject.

I could not get any details from News papers or from web sites.

If at all the plan has been finalised, the details should be in public domain. Pls don't take hasty decision on hearsay.

It comes near to the vanuvampet Busstop and plies thro nanganallur/adambakkam lake and joins near to thillai ganga nagar subway. U can see a road also comes along with MRTS.
