Please advise...HELP!!!?

I rented a commercial space in sta.ana manila inside an alley. It is impossible to see the place when people park their car infront of my salon. I made a sign which says " No Parking" and the chairman of that area asked me to take the sign off and says, everyone is allowed to park their car in there. I really want to know, what to do....? It is impossible for the customers to see my beauty salon if cars would be parked in there and my customers wouldnt have a parking space....

i cant change my location, do u know anything about business registration? once ur business location is registered in DTI or BIR or mayor's permit, those are only valid in the location specified.

I guess you need to change your location... Seems you have no choice at all... I mean, how will your business thrive/progress if someone is trying to block you? Unless if you can make a very huge sign-age that says you're salon is really right there. Yes, a huge, prominent sign-age might be the solution.

BIGGER BRIGHTER BETTER SIGN! Advertise! Advertise! Advertise! Make it appointment only, and a secretive (EXOTIC) place to go. Step up the customer service. Know customers by name, and call them by it. Build a customer base, and offer one night a month or year for bring a "friend for free" haircuts.

if that parking space you are talking about is along the road, we'll i guess you can't do anything about it.. its a public road for public use.. in the first place, these road shouldn't be used for parking.. establishments like yours should have their own "private" parking space.. in caloocan, there are some barangays that allow street parking for private purpose but they have to pay monthly dues.. maybe you can check you you also have that thing in manila..

we have our own salon also and had the same problem.. when we had the salon reconstructed, we made sure we already have our own parking space.. but mind you, even this is our own parking space, we still need to put the sign "customer's parking" because some people will park when and where they want..

advertise and put a big signage on top of your salon.. big catchy signage..make friends, a very good advertisment..

Things you can do on this matter:
1.Talk to the building owner, bring up your concern and first thing they will provide is your convenience[for your business] because you are their tenants. They need to see your problem because if this will affect your business it will affects too in terms of 'how you're going to pay them rents'.

2.Make your signage more visible, put it somewhere that people will notice, above your place is a good place because they can still see it even there are vehincles being parked.

3.Make some promotional regarding with your services,it will make your customers come back even if your place is not so accessible.

4.Make sure that although the outside space[parking area] is not so comfortable, the inside vicinity is more comfortable and very realxing place.

try asking for any ordinances regarding illegal parking in your municipality.. or try parking a motorbike in the space ... and yes.. if your business is registered in sta.ana you are only allowed to do business there and not else where unless you will register in another location...

When you can not beat them.....join them

Have three of your friends Park their motorcycles there....legal and your customers can still see you

instead of putting no parking, try reserve: for 'salon' clients only.

Just put a sign "Parking space for (insert business name) customers only" Put two on the left and right side.
