In order to avoid bombs on commercial aeroplanes, why not send the luggage separately ?

Then the plane would weigh less and cost less to fly. The cargo plane with luggage would cost less to make and different airlines could book space on the same cargo plane going to similar destinations!

with the price of fuel i would not be worth it.

Either that or send the bombs separately.

If u send it seperately dont u think that air traffic will become like 1 and a half times and would cost airlines millions + how long can u wait to get ur luggage at destination??? If its 10 mins to come out of belt people start swearing at the airline.. What if that flight is cancelled.. and will arrive next day?

sounds like you never flown on airplane? because they send your luggage on different flights all time.only wasnt susposed to.

That is an interesting thought.

There are few factors that will likely keep that from happening. First, people want there stuff with them. There is so much luggage lost already! People would not want to get to a destination and find that they have to weight on their luggage to arrive on a different flight. It would cause more problems that the current one.

Another primary reason is that the cost of pilots, planes and fuel would cost the airlines more money that the current method. These costs are extremely high with fuel costs going up all the time.

Keep thinking there has to be better ways to improve airport security and still get people and luggage moved from place to place easier.

Pure genius. I don't for the life of me understand why the airlines are not competing to hire you.

Why bother? just check the luggage going on planes, am I missing something or is that not simple enough? Look at it this way. There is no way to stop an attack. If people are bent at attacking us, they will succeed sooner or later, it doesn't matter to them if it is later.
