Where are the current lexus commercials shot?

There are atleast two current commercials that appear to be shot on a desert airport. One has the new LS460h and it is driving on a road that makes it look like its flying through space. The other is a Lexus IS350 commercial where the car out accelerates a car that was dropped from a helicopter.(the IS passes the drop zone before the dropped car hits the ground).

I was wondering where the filming location is? I know it must be somewhere in SoCal, possibly the old Holtville airport but it doesn't really look like it to me.

I am 90% sure that it is the Inyokern Airport in Inyokern, CA http://www.inyokernairport.com/ it is a 3 hour drive from LA and the mountians look about right...

Who cares, their commercials are garbage anyway. Nice care, but bad marketing techniques.
