If they can do THIS, why can't they condemn homicide bombers?

From an article about a muslim astronaut and carrying out the rituals of ramadan:

Now why can't 150 clerics get together and issue an 18-page booklet that says blowing yourself up at a marriage or pizza parlor, or flying planes into commercial buildings, is anti-islamic and heresy (since it IS a "religion of peace") and that everything that aq teaches about islam is heresy?

And, if you respond, PLEASE keep your references to Christianity (since no muslim can answer a question about islam without a reference to Christianity) to the 21st century.

The silence from the muslim community (INCLUDING their leadership) is absolutely deafening when it comes to terror attacks, beheading of little girls and subjects like female circumcision.

Most muslims DO condemn homocide bombers. But do you think that a terrorist is really going to listen to them?

I can tell you watch Fox News. That's the only channel that uses the term "homicide bomber."

It's a redundant term. Everyone who uses a bomb is attempting to kill someone. But those who kill themselves in the process are suicide bombers.

Several different groups of varying sizes, some thousands strong have done just that. Just because it wasn't "news worthy" doesn't mean they aren't trying to stop this just as much as we are.

All it takes is that 20-25% that feel terrorism is justified...

1. The vast majority of Muslims do believe that terrorists acts are against their religion. Terrorist attacks have been condemned by far more than 150 Muslim clerics and leaders.

2. Islam is not the only religion that has a violent fanatic fringe.

Muhammad is THE example for Muslim behavior, and his was the behavior of a terrorist. (1)

And any reference to the crusades, burning people at the stake,etc., are legitimate. Islam is 622 years younger than Christianity, and further along than the Christians were 622 years ago. All Abrahamic religion is a blight that need to be removed from our planet.

Why can't Christians simply accept the science on evolution? It's really the same thing. There's nothing in the bible, or in the Qu'ran to discourage raping little boys, so they do it. The same is true with suicide bombing. There's nothing to say this situation is not for Jihad, and it is thus wrong to kill Americans, or Europeans.
You know. Not everyone has such a high regard for human life as you do. We're no better than the quadrillions of germs we kill with disinfectant daily, so again, I have no opinion on suicide bombing.

I'm an atheist, but I was born and raised in a Muslim family. Even though i left Islam, i still don't think it's a religion that teaches violence. It's the socio-economic and political condition that influences a person to become terrorist. It is stated in Koran that if someone kills one innocent person, it's like he has killed the whole humanity. And also, it says that there's no compulsion in religion.
