Where should I work in San Francisco?

I intend to move to San Francisco in a couple months. I will need to get a job immediately because I do not have much money. Ideally I will have time and space to plant and manage a garden and I will earn enough to have a room to sleep in and the ability to purchase a vehicle 12 months from now. I am a university graduate, I posess a commercial drivers license, I am a carpenter, and I read a lot.

I suppose that the question is laughable. Mc Donalds here I come. :\

How about working for McDonalds!

i hear they're always hiring....

hmm.. if you're new to the area.
try looking in the local craigslist hiring ads.
i've done it & people are very responsive from on there

hope that it helps.
& good luck on your job hunt.

If you're any good as a carpenter, you won't have any trouble finding work.

look at craigslist, that's where i found my job in san fran. you can work in a salon as a receptionist or coordinator, lol that's what i do, most salons don't even require a cosmetology license, and you still make about $15-$20 an hour plus commission.
