How can i get an email address like "my name" @ "what i want".com?

I saw in an AOL commercial that we could do this but i could not see it on their site. Is there any other service where i could do this for free? An email address of any name i wanted at my own domain name? Also, one with lots of mail space would be prefferred of course! Thanx

lol that is impossible unless you own the domain name. For example if you myname@ and chose yahoo. The email will be sent to myname@yahoo.com.

If you still don't believe me go to http://rfc-editor.org and look at the standards used in emails.

Register the domain with one of the registrars (I'd recommend dotster.com) and set up hosting for the domain. Once that is done, you can use assign any name@thatdomain.name for your email address.

Caution about men with shiney teeth selling medician. To have a e-mail at a spacific domain that domain has to be active, if you go to somewhere that will provide you with that e-mail domain of your choice, they will register it, if you ever decide that you would like that domain for your URL you will have to buy it from them, probably at a hefty markup.

That is a domain name, meaning you have the bla@blabla.net/org/com/edu/gov, and more. You usaully have to pay for this service, yahoo offers it.
