Guys Help and advice please , this is an awkward and weird situation...

I was helping one of my friends to get a hold of his mom because he could not go through, and after that his mom started calling me, making conversation and making plans for the future ( marriage) I do really don't like him as a guy just a friend, so I kind of told him that I was unconfortable with this and that I had no feelings for him in that sense, that I did had a crush on someone but not him.

Well he told that to our mutual friend the one that I like, to be honest neither of them can't date at the moment because of religious beliefs, until their mission is over.

So they started acting strange, and I finally confronted them, one of them said ( the one I don't like) that he told him everything and that it was distracting and that he was even thinking of being transfered. the one I really like, he said he didn't see it that bad and wasn't thinking to that extreme.

I had to deny it for his sake, to the one I don't like I told him flat out I don't like you and to the one I like I said that there is an age diference ( 3yrs ) and that I care for them like brothers. The one I like his eyes kind of look sad, but he said that other people was making coments about me liking him and I never mentioned this to any one.

so I said look, I ended a relationship december of last year and that for me was really hard to trust, and I made a promise to my self that I was going to wait for one year until I let someone new in my life, I look at them seriously, and said that I respected what they where doing on their mission, and defenetely will not interfere in its purpose while in it.

then the guy I like broke down and cried, apologized about this hole thingm, and that there where many things he could not say, and I started crying because he was crying and I could not tell him how I really feel, and the other guy was just looking at us.

Do I have a chance in the future? did I killed any expectations? or was ok the way I handled it? what should I do now?

All you can do is sit and wait, but if you are not patient enough to do that, then go out and find someone who can be good for you, and hopefully, you can let the past go. If you were meant to be together, you will be. If not you never were meant for each other. You can't wait forever, and really shouldn't wait either.
