HOW TO APPROACH A CO-WORKER WHO ISN'T DOING HER FAIR SHARE OF THE WORK?

I have a job interview for a Caregiver position in a Assisted Living Community, and one of the questions they ask is tell me a time where you had to deal with a co-worker who is sitting around doing nothing why you are doing the work load, what would be the best response on how to handle it and solve the problem with the co-worker?

Another Question I have is Give an example of a problem you faced and how you used your problem solving abilities.
The only thing I can think of is when I was working in a acute hospital, there was only myself and another co-worker covering the front hall and one of her patients went in to cardiac arrest so they had to call a code so she was dealing with that situation, at the same time she had 2 call lights that had been on for a while, one of the patients was yelling and screaming because she needed to use the restroom really bad and no one was helping her. So I finished up with my patient and went straight to the ladies room to answer her light, spoke to her calmly and very polite, and asked her if there is something I could help her with, she said yes, I need to use the restroom badly before I go in the bed, so I took her to the bathroom, helped her back to bed and appologized to her once again.

I was able to calm her down and she thanked me for coming to her rescue just in time. Before I left her room I asked her if there was anything else I could get for her. Would that be considered a scenario? How would I best describe that in a interview?

I get nervous when I have to to scenario's during a interview. If anyone could help me out with these 2 questions that would be greatly appreciated.

Your first question: You should say that you told the person that they need to start doing more to help out and if they don't you will speak with the supervisor and maybe come up with a plan to divide up the work and who will be responsible for what.
Your second question: Your example is good and I would just say it the way you wrote it!

i would just ask nicely and if she still wasn't doing what was asked of her go to the superivior and report her.that's just me!!
