Should I make another move, or have I done enough already?

Alright, here's my situation. I'm seventeen, going into my senior year of high school. I had a pretty serious relationship with a guy freshman-soph year, but things ended badly (I'm not going to lie, it was my fault things ended, but he handled it badly, and never truly could get over it). I have tried before to make amends, because he was pretty much my best friend, and I miss him all the time. We recently went through a patch when things fizzled out, and we just didn' talk at all (neither were mad, we just drifted, you know?) Anyway, I recently reached out to him again, asking if he would like to go to lunch or something, since we haven't talked in so long. He said yes, enthusiastically, and told me he would call me when he could. That was a week ago, and he still hasn't called. Should I text him, or call him, or lay low? If I do contact him, what should I say?

Okay. You should definitely not call him yet, for all you know he could just be really busy and then you might look a bit .. off. Maybe you should wait a bit (around a week-ish ?) to see if he calls. If he doesn't after that, then I think maybe sending him a text, asking if he could do lunch soon. Well, that'd be what I would do in your situation, but if it doesn't work, don't blame me, k ?

You could use school as an excuse to call and ask again....I don't know when you start back, but you could call and just say "Hey, I didn't know if you still wanted to go to lunch, but just wanted to see...you know school is starting soon and we'll both be busier, so I didn't know if you wanted to go before or not?" Just a possibility...good luck!

i would text him, but not mention the lunch, he would see it as u pressuring him (thts guys for you unfortunately lol) just say something casual, like hi have done anything gd this weekend (etc) and then if you exchange a few texts then i would mention the lunch. Good Luck .x

well if it was your fault.. i guess you can be the one to call you know.. maybe he is testing you to see if like..you really want to see him.. and like if u want to make peace.. message him! but if he acts like a prick leave it!

He is still thinking, just very slowly...if you don't hear from him this week write him off. He was just being polite and has no interest in you.
It is his move, if you text him it appears you are chasing him. If you are then go ahead.

For me, I would ask one more time and set a date/time for it. If he backs out or stands you up, then its just not meant to be and you need to try and move on. =)

Text him once saying something like "I'm still up for lunch whenever you're free!" If he still doesn't respond, drop it and wait for him to do something.
