Does it bother you Obama is trying to controll the media? "Leave Michelle out of this."?

Does Obama remind you more of a dictator than a leader? Why is he trying to controll what the media says and does? Is he that SENSETIVE that he can't handle his wife, who is out making speeches, being criticized?

Obama's disapproval of the media's coverage of Michelle is weak. So is the issue. She is the wife of a presidential candidate and as such is fair game just like the wives and families of other candidates now and in the past. Michelle represents Obama, so anything she says will be scrutinized. Playing the victim role is easier than training her to be politically correct as a candidate's wife in the public eye.

I would say that, if Fox news were playing their dirty (republican) tricks on their station, trying to attack him through his wife. Fox is the most biased media outlet out there than any other. And they also like to say crap on their show and then retract knowing they can play w/ ppl's fears and then say "oops sorry," while knowing that some ppl will still believe what they said in the first place even if they retract it.

But I do believe that since she is out there campaigning for him, then she is fair game. But I think that the media should not play dirty tricks like Fox does (since the media is not supposed to be their campaign rivals-however they may act like it[Fox]).

Michelle is part of the campaign. she CHOOSE to be part of it. If she doesn't like the backlash from her statements she should keep her mouth shut.

The public has a right to question her and her statements. Obama chose her as his wife. She is an indication of his judgment. If he picks a racist bitter woman to be married to, he must be the same type of person.

I think it called more attention to Michelle and her big moth when he told everyone to "lay off." It was such a ludicrous statement to make.

That being said, to answer your fine question....yes, he gives the impression of a dictator more than a leader. His speeches are designed to captivate and mesmerize an audience without actually dealing with issues and solutions. His 'solutions' are vague, and anyone with brains can see that they are unobtainable. When he is pressed, he artfully changes the subject, and resorts to his 'genie' mentality. I pity anyone who falls for this empty rhetoric.

As far as Michelle is concerned, she is hurting him more than helping him, and I'm glad. Keep it up, Michelle. "Two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement"..... and she shows the 'real' Obama, not the cardboard facsimile of a candidate his handlers have invented.

"baby mama" generally is a derogatory term for an ex-wife/lover who you had kids with. The idea is that you don't want to acknowldge any relationship, but have to.

Yes -- Michelle is an outspoken adult woman who has purposely injected herself into this campaign and has made some outrageous comments & accusations and engaged in some outrageous actions.
As an adult, Michelle must be held accountable for her own words & actions.

Since he has now commandeered the entire DNC and moved them to Chicago, leaving all of the Democratic Senators, Congress members etc to fend for themselves and of course taken over the FUND RAISING aspect of the DNC for his candidacy (despite the fact that is supposed to service the ENTIRE democratic party) then yes I would say dictator is a perfect comparison.

Well first, Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are married people, and I think it is disrespectful to call her his baby mama...she is a respectable and strong figure in American politics and I think she deserves more respect than that.
SECOND, just as the media has the right to report on whatever it wishes, Senator Obama has the right to say that he wishes the media would not attack his wife. As her husband, he is and should be protective of his wife, her image, and her person. Therefore, if someone, anyone is attacking her, then he is supposed to...as her husband...stand up and speak out against it. The sanctity of the marital bond is more important to him than politics and the media...his family should certainly most important in his life and worth risking his life and career for.
As far as Michelle getting out of the kitchen, I can say the same for Hillary, for Laura Bush, for countless other women of male politicians who have been bashed in the media. Michelle has a voice, she has the right to express that voice. As the wife of a politician, she will never be under more scrutiny than she is now...and that is an invasion of personal privacy and space I am sure she has never before had to handle. However, she always is very professional, very tactful, and very strong. It is HUMAN to react to being berated, whether it is someone's right to berate you or not.
People kill me, being so quick to raise the freedom of speech clause...when there would be outrage if someone told John McCain's wife or Laura Bush to go back to being barefoot and pregnant...but it is fine to call someone a "baby mama"? Being disrespected is NEVER okay...and I don't know if you have a man in your life, are married, whatever...but my husband would DAMN SURE speak out against someone berating and disrespecting me. And I bet most CERTAINLY you would not call that woman "baby mama" to her face!
