Why do people who act rude when giving an answer, spaz and say "you can';t handle truth" when called on it? Kayla F, I'm still looking for an answer on why you're being such a snide asshole.... upon pondering yes it's unfair but as many others will say don't ask if you don't want various answer to any question ...........................age race and creed will always give another perspective regardless of what you really want because we all live differing lives I think some people are very touchy and have that "get them before they get me" attitude. My advice? Only ask for advice from people who will give it...I try very hard not to be rude with my answers to my friends but I can see how easy it is to slip in a sarcastic comment.... it always seems simpler to answer someone else's question than your own, I guess. are these questions, serious, and to an authority figure boss, teacher, etc,or just an a--ho-- equal? if they are in authority then you might go over their heads with the complaint, but you risk retaliation . ....or just an associate ,sit at another table, there is no cure for rude behavior..........tom Rude people often are expert bullies. You are right not to stand for their rudeness or intimidation. Show them how it should be done by objecting firmly but politely. They'll soon know you're not one to be trifled with. No you should not be walked all over. That person needs to learn to be kinder, and if they don't have anything nice to say then just be quiet. Never wrestle with a pig. You'll both get dirty and the pig enjoys it. (Mark Twain?) If they don't want to be confronted, they shouldn't be jerks. I TOTALLY AGREE because they don't have an answer duh... Due to feelings of inferiority , sometimes others are always on the defense by over-compensating an issue , with a rude remark . Someone with emotional problems may do this compulsively . If so - any reply could be subject to a snide remark with a person like this - because these people are never happy . Don't take it personal . They also know whose buttons they can push to get the most reaction from . Many times verbal bullies simply are not getting enough love in their childhood . In either case - you can not change them . However , you can counter-act his effect on you , by not reacting to it ; or by reacting with humor , and changing the subject . I have discovered that when dealing with a verbal bully who attacks without reason ..you can throw them off guard ( and stop their attack in it's tracks ) by saying something totally unrelated to the subject at hand , like : " I'M TRYING TO USE THE PHONE" . While Rocky is trying to figure out what you're talking about - you've managed to diffuse the situation and stop his attack in it's tracks . |
