How should I handle the neighbors?

to keep this as short as possible, i live in a condo with my father and we are dealing with a case of two incredibly loud neighbors above us. i'm not just talking a few bumps here and there, i'm talking shaking the whole condo when it's at it's worst. this takes place at essentially all hours of the day/night. i've heard it as early as 6am and as late as 4am, and it has disrupted my sleep many times. i like to consider myself reasonable in the aspect that i don't expect them to be totally silent. I can only wonder what the gentleman below me has to say about my noise level, but lately... this situation has really just become absurd. the woman will run from one end of the condo to the other a good 15x in a row, like she has cement blocks strapped to her feet. i really can't figure out what it is they're doing up there half of the time that could produce so much noise.

in short... how should i handle the situation best? call the police? try to talk to them myself?

Talk to them yourself.....ask them very polietly to try to keep it down during certain hours. If they cop an attitude or completly ignore you then go to the manager of the condo{if there is one} if there is nothing done by the manager call the cops when they are stomping around.

Perhaps you might try offering them a set of shoes with hush-puppies soles. This may not work if the person is walking with crutches.
