Do you think XBOX 360 should repair my console for free. Story in details?


For a while my 360 has been damaging my CDS (games) and littarelly doesn't allow me to play it anymore (which sucks!). So I call 1-800-4M-XBOX and i told them my problem and every detail of it it has damaged 3 of my games ROCK BAND, Smackdown! vs Raw 2008, and Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock. I told him i keep my 360 on a downward laying flat posistion and i don't move my XBOX 360 while it's playing or it has a CD in it and it's turned off/on. I told him i talked to the Best Buy dude and he told me to call Microsoft and they would refund me by giving me a new XBOX 360 or repairing this one for free because your not the only person who has said this to us there are more! I said that to the guy on the phone, he said it'll cost $100 and it comes with a 1 year warranty for Repairing. I say that's not fair i never did anything to it and it happens by itself my Handling is perfect. He says you should have returned it earlier. I say i thought i wasn't handling it right Rest In additional Detail

so i didn't return it! Now I tell them I think you should do this for free just at least 1 time! Because i'm not the only one it's your product and your responsible for why it's not working (if a friend broke your game shouldn't he buy you another one for you that's what i meant) There are others who have had this problem. Then they say we'll give you 25% off then i tell them listen My XBOX costed $400 and the games added up to about $200 and now see $600 in the trash i think it should be free. Then she says Sir i understand your problem we'll give you 25% free discount. I say don't you guys get it you guys are a manufacturing company you should repair or refund or send me new one! It's called Customer Satisfaction I'm a bussiness Man and the Customer is so important you guys become RICH because of the Customer! It's only fair if you treat the customer right! The customers very important. Then he says Sir we'll give you 25% discount. I get mad and say I don't need your Crap good bye!

ask to talk to a higher up aka a manager these phone answerers cant help for ****... no offense to the people that actually answer phones and help... your cool.. the rest... piss off and learn how to speak and understand english!!

but yeah you should call em back and just as soon as the guy answers ask to talk to a manager and if they try to give you the run around get their name and employee number...
and report them

If you're still under warranty and haven't done anything to void the warranty, they they should fix it either free or at the cost of shipping. If you're out of warranty, you're out of luck.

You best bet is to ask to speak to the customer service rep's supervisor, and go as high up the chain as you can get. If you push enough sometimes they'll cave in.

Personally, I think it's the flat position that screws consoles up. All of mine are vertical, and I've never had a problem with any of them, the 360 included.

I agree that it is bad that they wont give you money back or repairs for free;selfish companies.. It's tragic that you didn't get it fixed when it was on warranty, if you decide to get it repaired, make sure to buy covers for your games (they sell them at Gamestop), It stops the rings around games just check it to make sure that the ring isnt digging in than that might be a bigger problem. As for the games i am sorry you cannot get your money back.
