Hi Folks,

I have aquired a referees whistle.
If blown in a room, it makes your ears ring for a while.

I use it upon sales call centres trying in vain to sell me something over a phone line.

One blast of the whistle down the phone stops them
The line can handle the volume & frequency.

Then I say "red card, leave the pitch, and don't come back"
Blow again

They must swipe their headsets off at the other silly end !

I recommend this tactic, as it works.

Is It the Acme Thunderer? They absolutely Blastoon your ears.

Whatever works for you is fine.
I just tell them to put me on their no call list and ask for a copy of the action to be sent to me in the mail.
Or if they call during dinner, I just hang up.
My favorites are the automated calls that would like me to hold while the sales person finishes with the current call. Yeah, right. Like I'm gonna to that.

A little extreme, but whatever. Remember they are just doing their job.
