What does it generally mean when you ask your BF if he wants to breakup over text and he doesn't respond.?

I took a 2 week break from him and we got back together yesterday. He seemed happy to be with me. Today when I tried to call him he wouldn't answer. So I sent him a thought out text message saying if he didn't want to be with me then just tell me so I won't waste so much time and energy on him. He didn't respond nor did he answer my calls to his cell and his house. I can handle a guy saying "Yes, I want to be with you". I can handle a guy saying "I don't want to be with you." I CAN'T HANDLE LIMBO/SILENCE. What in your minds is going on here? I keep asking him for resolution and communication, but I never get it. If he wants to break up with me, why not just say "Yes, I do want to break up with you" in response to my text. If not, why doesn't he say so?? Im horribly confused, can't eat. Can't sleep.

It means he isn't going to give you the satisfaction of an answer. He is finished with the relationship and angry at you for ending it. Silence is his way of punishing you.

It isn't a very mature attitude, but what can you do? He's a guy. They mature around 30 - 40.
