Interview at Chuck E.Cheese tomorrow?

I just turned 16, and applied online about a week ago. I received a call about 2 hours ago, and Chuck E. Cheese asked me for an interview tomorrow. This will be my first interview ever. I think it might be promising that when I called, they told me that they were not hiring but "always accepting applications" so I applied anyways and they called right away.

Anyways, as this will be my first interview, can you tell me what to expect and how I should act. Any tips? All answers welcome, especially if you happen to actually work there.

I know I can handle the job, as I have been babysitting my now 11 year old niece and now 2.5 year old nephew every weekend for almost 2 years now.

Thanks. Best answer shall be chosen.

First, thanks for all the help so far.
Thanks for the very helpful links.

Second, that song was friggin hilarious but it won't change my mind. I love little kids, and I don't mind the mess or the headache or anything else. It's worth it. Maybe that's just because I'm an aunt, but it's always worth it.

Ok so I work at a chuck e. cheese

and depending on what position you are applying for, i highly suggest showroom, which is where i work.

first dress nice, not extremley nice, but like a button up and a nice slacks.

you need to be very energetic and constanlty smiling
they will probably ask you why you want to work their, and just talk about how you love spending time with chiildren

in my interview they asked me if knew what they had on their menu other than pizza...the answer; hot dogs, sandwhiched, buffallo wings, mozzerlla sticks, italian bread sticks, and salad bar. as far as dessert, apple pizza, cinna stix, cake, and ice cream cups.

you should be fine, like i said be extremely energetic, smiley, and bubbly....dont be nervous....oh bring a pen just in case...

good luck!!!

From what you have written here, it sounds like you will do just fine. Make sure that you dress neatly in a pair of dress pants and a nice blouse or shirt. Don't overdo the makeup and if you have a lot of piercings, remove most of them except for those in your ears. Remember to look the interviewer in the eyes and speak clearly and politely. No yea or nope or ain't in your answers. You are not going to babysitting these kids, but you will be interacting with them. So make sure that you tell them about your experiences with your niece and nephew. Good luck.

Be freshly bathed, dress nicely, arrive a couple of minutes early, smile, speak clearly, don't slouch, say "yes" and "no" instead of "yeah" and "uh-huh," and try to exude confidence.

You basically want to be yourself -- well, and have your best qualities on display. :-) An interview is not an interrogation -- it's a conversation, so when the manager asks you at the end if you have any questions, have one or two prepared about the job -- but don't ask things like questions about wages or benefits, because your focus should be on what you can do for THEM.

And thank him/her for meeting you, and do so twice -- at the start and at the end.

Dress nice, but casual, not too casual, such as black pants and tunic are nice, if you have that.
Be yourself, answer each question by looking into the eye of the interview, don't stare at the floor.Sit up straight in the chair, shake hands with a smile and say your ma'ams and sirs. Speak clearly and honestly and with a smile every now and then.
But always answer by looking into their eyes, do not wonder.

Good Luck Hun.

clean make up, dress like you are going out to a nice dinner. u know dress pants or khakis with a nice blouse ( i cant believe i just said that, my mom says that). they might ask you some accomplishments or some things you are proud of. strengths and weaknesses. and senarios. dont sweat it. an interview and the big cheese will be a breeze.

Be early for the interview, dress nicely- no jeans or t-shirts.

Be very friendly and positive, play up your strengths and accomplishments. Say you have dependable transportation, good grades, and a flexible schedule. Act interested in the company. Good luck.

one thing my interviewer caught me off guard was "describe yourself using as many adjectives as possible." i couldnt think straight becuase i felt pressured and timed.

possible other questions:

why did you apply for this job?
why should we hire you?
if a co-worker is giving you trouble, what would you do? (they say dealing with it then is the best way to keep peace, but pulling them aside and speaking to them about the problem would be smart.)
why good qualities would we expect from you?
what are your long term goals?

just stupid stuff like that

I often got questions like...

-Describe a time you did something responsible.
-Describe a time you overcame odds of some kind.
-Describe a time you dealt with conflict in a responsible manor.

Things like that.

Look your best, give confident answers, just be completly confident the whole time, smile, give examples of other work you've done like babysitting, sell yourself and make them want you!

You really need to go google Tim Wilson's song "chuckie cheese hell"...you have a really good understanding about working at Chuckie Cheese.

theyll probably ask u if u like kids, n all that crap.

but why the **** would u wanna work there??!!? u gotta deal wit all those brats n boogers n nosebleeds.

just be yourself
dress to impress

good luck

I agree with Alfie, just be yourself and dress to impress..don't go overboard though..Peace

First Thing...... Congratulations! I am sending you sites that should answer your questions. One thing that is really important, is be confident! You know you can handle the job so act like they would be dumb not to hire you! I know you will be nervous but try to show confidence.

Good Luck! Chucky Cheese sounds like a great first job!

It is a good idea to send a Thank You card to the manager that interviewed you after the interview. This gives you the opportunity to call in about a week to make sure they got the card and see if there are any more questions you can answer.
