How do I make my mom admit to her alcoholism?

My mom is in trouble....
She's what you may call an alcoholic in hiding. She insists that she doesn't drink at all, yet hides liquor bottles all over the house and is rarely sober.
It's destroyed my parents marriage because my father tried to help her and didn't succeed... he finally got so disgusted with her that he couldn't deal with it anymore.
I thought I had perfectly normal parents until I found out a year ago that my father had split with my mom and he finally told me why.
Since then, my mom has moved into an apartment closer to me - to help me with my household and to be there for me. Yet it feels like everything is getting worse.
What we hoped could be a new start for her is turning into a downward spiral. She's drunk all the time, yet insists she doesn't drink. I'm always worried and her presence is destroying my own relationship because my boyfriend cannot deal with the situation.
I love my mom dearly - she's my best friend.
How do I handle this situation the best?

First, don't be judgmental. When you talk to her, focus on YOUR feelings and you concern for her and the rest of the family. Look her in the eye and don't raise your voice. Say what you have to say softly but very, very firmly. It might help if you weren't the only one there telling her, but don't gang up on her. Say it with love, not with anger. Don't bring up the past, focus on the present. Tell her what the consequences will be in your relationships if she doesn't seek help. Then, offer her solutions. She won't be able to do it by herself. Some people work well with AA, most people also will need counseling. She also may need a period in a detox/rehab facility. Alanon and Alateen are great resources, google them. I wish you the best.

Have you seen the show "Intervention" ?

Do what they do, on there to they're loved ones.
You give her the ultimatum to quit what she's doing, or else you want nothing to do with her. It hurts to do this, but she won't realize until she see's that her family has turned their backs on her.

We can't make alcholics admit that they are one.

Good luck

VIDEO TAPE HER, and be there first thing in the morning when she wakes up so you can watch the home movie together. Then tell her how much you love her, whether she's a drunk or not, but you'd like her to be around in the future, and at the rate she's going chances are she will not. Hold her tight, and tell her that as long as she needs you, you will be there. Then GET SOME COUNSELING FOR YOURSELF!!!!!!

Well you cant really get it out of her because you how it is everyone gonna deny you jus have to wait till she cunfesses but if it gets worse you should deff talk to sme one that can really help her

a quick fix is to get her on roxicet or an opiate based medication, that way she will still feel good but she won't want alcohol. it worked for me.
