Taking two femcons aday?

I found out I have polycystic ovary syndrome, because my insulin levels werent right I started taking metformin, I had to stop taking it cause it messed with my body and I couldnt handle it, I started also taking femcon to help I called my obgyn and told her I have been bleeding for two weeks and she told me to start taking two femcons a day til the bleeding stops, Maybe to push my body faster to get use to the hormones I dont really know but for some reason if the bleeding doesnt stop in a few days I have to go back, you would think once my period stops an then switching back to taking only one pill wouldnt it mess with my hormones more? I did have a hydrosongram done an she told me that day my lining was thin and that I could spot because of the hydrosonogram but that night I started bleeding really heavy and bad then she tells me its just a break through bleeding from the pills. Thats why now im taking two pills aday.

I had taken two pills of the Femcon before for a few days due to breakthrough bleeding.

I don't know how recent your hysterosonogram was but if it's been within the past couple weeks the bleeding could be from that. I had a hysterosonogram done last summer and had some breakthrough bleeding for a time afterward. I was concerned about the bleeding and asked my doctor's office about it about a week or so later. I was told that it was normal to have some breakthrough bleeding after the procedure.

And some of it was a bit heavy.

The other thing that may help your breakthrough bleeding is to eat foods rich in iron such as spinach, raisins, and peanut butter (if not allergic to peanuts of course).

I would recommend getting back in touch with your doctor to see what else she says and wants you to do next.
