I'm too afraid to call a suicide hotline. Any Alternatives?

I posting another question with more information about why I would wanna know this is in the first place. I really can't handle having the police called on a Baker Act, and so I'm too afraid that that's all they'd do.

I'm just too afraid so don't try to talk me into it, if that's all you're here to do, then forget about it.

You can actually call a suicide hotline just to talk. If it is an anonymous hotline you don't necessarily have to worry about them sending the police because it is anonymous. A lot of people call in and just want to talk about the suicidal feelings they are having but are not calling to say this is what I am about to do right now. So the counselors on the other line know that you really need to talk with someone right now and that is what they are their for.

If they think you are wanting to go through it now with a plan they will ask you to go to a hospital and support you for seeking help if you want them to. I hope you feel comfortable calling because there are people out their who really want to be there for you and support through this difficult time.

its anonymous so i don't see why the police would come? What is there to lose? They are there for a reason. Just try it. it wont be that bad. I really suggest if you feel sucidal you should really consider getting help. If you don't have insurance i suggest getting a job at Starbucks. They provide health coverage for part time workers. Then with that you can get a therapist and start from there. Come on. comiting suicde is a cop-out. Your just going to give up.
