What is the fed's right to an opinion on the Patriots?

I'm sick of the federal gov. thinking they have to stick there nose into everything. They should try keeping the gas prices down and keep our troops from dying. That's a way more important issue that they can't seem to fix. Maybe they should call the Patriots to the stand like Clemens so they can waste more of our tax payers money. We've become a Socialist country. The NFL can handle it themselves.

Amen to that! Spying on another team, cheating or whatever else is deemed wrong by a centralized commision or board overseeing a sport is the body to address and deal with issues relating to the sport and the people involved with it. I don't know about you, but I think getting fined and possibly expelled from your sport has got to be punishment enough. Where in the constitution does it say that congress has the power to summon anyone they see fit and address their actions whether lawful or unlawful? What does this have to do with the government? NOTHING! The only part the government should have if any at all is court. If the league took the Patriots to court over some wrongdoing or torte, is the only place I see the government playing any role at all. Even then it's taxpayer money... we have become a Socialist country and it sickens me. The people screaming about how they've been wronged and want compensation are usually the ones causing the biggest harm.
