Is there a preferred/traditional handle for mother-in-law, father-in-law. Assuming a good relationship?

Obviously, people on bad terms won't call them Mom and Dad but if on good terms isn't it more common to call them Mom and Dad than addressing them by their first names? Some won't address as Mom or Dad because they feel like this would discount their own parents others don't call their in-laws anything because everything is uncomfortable.

If i felt loved by my in-laws, i'd definately call them mom or dad. But if they've never done anything to show me that they love me, or don't deserve to be loved, then i won'tcall them anything. It really depends on their relationship.

My Mother in laws name is Millie and I call her "Millie Mom"
It fun and it is not uncomfortable and when she call me on the phone she says hi it's "Millie Mom"

Ask them what they want you to call them.
