How Should I Handle My Husbands Lie?

I have a job that allows me to go on a lot of trips if I wanted to, but I know that my husband doesn't want me to go, so I stay behind. Well, now I am very hurt, because I found out that my husband went on a trip for four days to a tournament for a male student that he trains. I asked him point blank 3 weeks before the tournament if he was going and he said, he didn't know what I was talking about. I told him that I understood that he would have to go since he trains the guy, but still he denied it. I knew he was lieing to me, so I stuck to my guns and stayed at my parents house, hoping he would decide to admit it. Well, days went by and still he mention's nothing. He would just continue to text and call me telling me telling me he loves me. The weekend of the tournament comes up and if course he leaves. I find out that he was registered for this tournament back in Dec. with 2 other male trainers. Why would he lie about this for months? How should I handle it? What do I say and how should I act? I feel like lieing for him comes so easy and what else has he lied to me about.

U see. Any time a husband and wife does not do something because the other insists it starts problems. Why don't you go to your trips? He has the right to go if he wants to. In fact he should go.
I know what you are thinking it is not fair that he goes but you don't. That is where you have it wrong. He makes you feel guilty but saying you should stay and you agree and do it.

I had the same problem. I stayed back because my wife felt i should stay home. So what happens it does not end there. He will keep on controlling you until you are blue in the face and you divorce or separated like me.

Do what you want. Go on these trips and don't put up with his crap anymore.

I see this sort of thing all the time! The husband will not allow the wife to do something however it's okay for him to do it.
I think he's knows he is wrong for not wanting you to go on your trips and I think it's insecure of him to try to keep you at home. You should both be going on trips.

It sounds to me like you didn't want him to go, whether you said he should or not ....and maybe that is why he lied ..cause he knew you would freak out on him.

You should go on your trips ...couples need time away from each other, and as long as you trust each other not to do anything you shouldn't be doing on these trips, I see no problem with going.

Sounds like the two of you need lots more communication, and a little big of growing up.
