Had a date and? |
for a while, it went well. We were eating at Olive Garden, which is an expensive restaurant for a college student, but it's worth it, and so was she. Then my phone rang. My mom was calling. I answered it, because my grandma has been sick and I thought it might have been an emergency. mom was just checking up on me. I said hey mom I'm busy, i'll call you tomorrow. bye, love you. Click. 22 seconds. I apologized for that and continued talking to her. then HER phone rang, She answered and I assumed she would do the same as me. Nope, she kept talking to her friend about some stupid show, Desperate housewives or whatever, I didn't really pay attention. this went on for 15 minutes before she hung up. I took great offense to this. But I handled it maturely, paid the bill, left a tip, then took her back to her dorm. Now how should I handle the aftermath? I decided I'm not calling her back because that was a total insult to me. what do you think I should do? ew I can't believe she stayed on the phone... that is so tacky. If you took offense to that then don't call her... But if you want to give her another chance then go for it... try to sneak in how you thought it was lame she was on the phone like making a joke... like next time you see her and she asks about going out again be like "yeah you know as long as your better friends don't call" maybe she'll realize she was wrong in being on the phone. you should have apologized but explained the call sick grand mother and told her you wouldn't have answered from anyone else that you know its rude to answer a phone unless an emergency, talk to her tell her how you feel she was hurt because you used the phone also !!!! Just blow her off. She obvioulsy has no manners and at a certain age you just know you shouldn't do that. She is self absorbed and all kinds of trouble comes with that. |
