Craig's List question?

I'm not sure how to handle this situation. Let's say I have an item that I post for sale and 2 hours later person A e-mails me. I e-mail back asking them to call to set up a time to come by. While waiting for person A to call, person B e-mails asking if it's still available, which it is because person A hasn't called yet. So, now I'm waiting for persons A and B to call when person C calls and wants to pick up the item immediately. Am I supposed to wait for person A, who is interested but hasn't called yet, or just give it to person C?

When listing, I posted my phone # as well as the e-mail, so the buyer had the choice to contact me either way. But, person C is the only one to actually called.

What's the proper thing to do? Because now, persons A and B have called and left messages, wanting to pick up the item, but person C called and came by before the other two even called me to set up a time.

It's confusing!! HELP!

sell to whoever can get to it first or a "first come, first serve" basis. Whoever actually shows up first is the winner. Trust me, I've sold stuff on there before and you just need to sell to someone you know is serious. Don't waste your time by holding out for the one who responded first or you may not be able to sell it at all if you pass up someone you know is serious. So anyway, post on your ad that it is a first come, first serve sale.

Well your best bet is to try to sell it to Buyer C. you may choose whoever wants to buy it. It would be better to leave buyer A alone as they never showed up to see the item. I have had the same problem when I sold my van.

They never showed up so I gave the other people the opportunity to buy it. Give Buyer B and C a try. if they don't show up to see it, then post the ad again.
