My friend thinks i'm racist?

i mean, you've heard, the terms cracker, beener, etc. yeah, well, i'm asian, so i call alot of white people crackers, no one really takes it seriously, it's just joking around. but lately one of my bestfriends has been saying "wow, you're sounding really racist today." and she called me racist today, on the bus from school. and since it was awkward, it was a little weird to walk home with her.
i've probably gotten the habit from one of my other friends, who is also asian (and i hang out with her because she's like, the only other asian person in our school, and we get along. we have things in common), but she lives around that kind of thing all the time, and i don't really.
but i don't know. i don't know how to talk to my friend (who thinks i'm racist) about it. i'm going out of town for awhile and i don't know when to see her, and i'm not sure if e-mail is the best way to handle it, but i want to confront it as soon as possible. i don't want to lose this friend!!

If you refer to people as cracker beaner or any other names you ARE racist!!!! If I said move outta my way chink would you find it offencive???

I've heard Crackers use a lot worse names for Asians, so on one hand, yes you sound a little racist, and on the other hand, the Crackers deserve a taste of their own medicine. But in general, I wouldn't use any words that could be perceived as racist, because it may give you a reputation that you will regret, don't want and probably don't deserve if you're just 'having fun'.

There is a difference between a "cracker" and a white person.
There is a difference between a "******" and a black person.
There is a difference between a "spick" and a Hispanic person.
There's a difference between a "Polack" and a person of Polish descent.
There's a difference between a "Wop" and a person of Italian descent.

Know what that difference is? Attitude and the way they behave.

Now if you're calling people names even jokingly, perhaps you're not racist, but really just a cracker yourself.

Is this really the way you want to carry yourself?

Well, if you use racist terms, why are you so surprised when some feel you are a racist ?

How would you like it if someone called you a Chink, slant eyed, or some other name that means Asian in a derogatory manner, even if they meant it as a joke ?

Bet you would not see the humor in that, huh ?
