Supervisor accused me of taking off time when I didn't, what can I do?

I was at work all day today, aside from an hour at the cafeteria for lunch.

She called me and my co-worker into her office today and accused me of "taking a 2 hour lunch." I said we left at 12 and came back at 1. She continued to say when she came by my desk I was not there. I could have been at the copier, fax, printer or bathroom which are in different locations.

My co-worker was then told that she took a 2 hour lunch. She's real timid and said nothing. I resent being accused of something that never happened. This Supervisor harps on me continually for "time", even if I request to leave 5 mins early.

She won't listen to me.

I need some help at handling this one.

Tell her calmly that you took a one-hour lunch and that she must have caught you while you were away from your desk *doing your job*. Then tell her that you resent the accusation because you take your job very seriously. If she doesn't drop the issue right there, then you should request a meeting with your supervisor and the big boss (or the manager, whoever outranks her). You should also speak to your coworker, the timid woman, and say that these accusations are serious and that she needs to set the record straight immediately. If she'll vouch for you and if you'll vouch for her, that could shut down the accusations.

As long as you want to keep your job there isn't much you can do until your supervisor commits harrassment like this that you can prove. Once you can prove it you can either go over their head or to the local attorney general's office. I hate jobs like that! Good luck to you!!

I would try to set up a time to have a meeting with your supervisor and state your concerns. If this doesn't work, you need to follow your chain of command and go to the next person up the letter to get this resolved.

tell her the situation about ur co-worker and the difference on ur time lunch....then leave everithing to god...
