What do i do now..??

well i told my guy friend i liked him, lets call him ben*, so i told ben i like him and we of course are already good friends and he said that i couldn't handle him, so i asked him "what do you mean?", and he told me he was "ahead of me in realionships" so agian im confused and i asked him "what do you mean?" he tells me that he is ready for things im not, and if you catch my drift, im not at all like that, and i believe he's better than that, and that he's wrong.

he is smart
has a kinda rough life
always in the wrong place at the wrong time
has parents who dont really care
and a cousin who is bad influence
he wants to be a carpenter
and he is honest and loyal....

but i dont know what to do now...

Man, I am sorry to hear that. First, let me say, that I commend you for being upfront and honest with Ben. It says alot about you and your character.

Either way, it seems like he doesn't want a relationship, respect that. At least he's being honest about how he thinks and feels.

I think if he was on point, he'd wait for you to be comfortable in a relationship and engage in a relationship and take things slow and easy.. but, he's not up for that, leave it be. I think you two should be friends..

Find another guy who's willing and wanting to learn and grow with you..

ok i had a life way worse than his .but i still didin't walk around being a jerk to my friends and people trying to get clsoe to me . i would dump him and fast. if he thinks you can't handle him then show him you don't have to beg . FYI.life is to short and there are to many decent guys out there that would treat you better than this , trust me when he sees he thinks you lost interest he will come running . he doesn;t want to loose the only good thing in his life he may have .

well if he really cared for you he would wait for you to be on the same page as him. bc its not your fault he thinks your inexperienced? and maybe you arnt on the same page as him but he should still wait. and if you are you showed show him how. and before you do anything ask him to give examples.
