My boyfriend is jealous of my guy friend?

Everytime I hug my best guy friend who I consider my brother, my boyfriend always gets mad and calls me a whore. I'm so sick and tired of his smart mouth that i go off, but I know there are other ways to handle it. What do I do?

First, examine yourself. Do you think that going off on him makes the relationship better? The most important thing, and I will say this again, the most important thing in a relationships is communication. Divorce and break-ups happen because people cannot communicate. Have you ever thought that your boyfriend is not jealous he is simply expressing his remark of protection for you? When you think of a boy, a man, what is he? He is your protector and your shield. Do you ever think that maybe he is just defending you? Try not to get upset over such a small quibble in your relationship. You say you love him, but do you really understand that you cannot love him unless you relinquish that hate I see in your comment. If you are truly looking for resolve I would suggest communicating your feelings in a logical and calm manner. Tell him how you feel and ask him if he is just jealous or if he is just protecting you. Even if he is jealous, why are girls mad at that? Do you know what that means? It proves his love for you! Try to examine your relationship and be calm and excited for this time in your life. If you are with someone who can't handle you having friends of the opposite sex, should you be with them at all? A person, regardless of their relationship with you, and regardless of how you feel about them, shouldn't be calling you a whore for spending time with someone you consider a friend.
