How would you handle this in the job work place? legal advise?

A little after 4pm Sunday, May 4th at Merchants Tire store #345, I brought in an Infiniti SUV in order to perform a flat repair on the vehicle. Once lifting the vehicle up by means of a floor jack, I was about to remove the lug nuts when I realized the sockets owned by the store did not fit the lug nuts properly and left slack, which could lead to 鈥渟tripping鈥?of the lug nuts. I then approached the store manager (near the Service Manager desk), Mark, in order to see if we had received any new metric impact sockets over the last couple of days, as I had been off. Mark said that we had not and then asked how much a new socket would be. I informed him that I did not know, but needed a socket in order remove the rim and tire, to which he replied to use a tech鈥檚 socket.
Since this has been a reoccurring theme, borrowing tech鈥檚 tools for standard GS work and I have to be the one to beg for the tech鈥檚 to let me borrow their personal property, I asked Mark if we were going to get a set of new sockets or socket in soon to replace our broken metric flip socket, but that I would use the tech鈥檚 socket in the mean time.
At this point Mark began yelling and cursing at me (just outside the first repair bay in the parking lot), saying things like 鈥淚 don鈥檛 ******* know鈥? 鈥淚鈥檓 not a ******* tech鈥? 鈥淭hat鈥檚 not my ******* job鈥? and F--- this and F--- that. All the time he was yelling and cursing, he was stepping closer and closer to me in an intimidating fashion. I then informed Mark that I could not continue to work with him cursing and yelling at me in an angered fashion, at which he said 鈥渨ell then go the **** home鈥? In order to defuse the situation, I did just that, packed my things and began to leave the shop. On my way out, I was walking past our service manager, Anthony, and was about to tell him that I was going home when Mark flung open the door from the front waiting area to the shop and yelled 鈥渁nd don鈥檛 ******* come back until I ******* call you!鈥? I then got into my car and left.

If Mark is the store manager, he must report to a regional manager or somebody. I would call them. A business can't afford to have store managers flying off the handle like that, especially where customers can see. You handled the situation correctly. You didn't provoke him further and as an added bonus, you have Anthony as a witness to Mark's hostility.
