Husband's odd behavior?

we separated in March -- his idea. I didn't handle it well at first, but I'm ok now. I take care of all the bills, the kids, the animals. At first my husband was fine-our friends tell his family I'm doing fine. Then I get an email from him making false accusations, calling me a scorned woman and that I was embarrasing our kids. On the scorned woman part.. I had to laugh at him and tell him 'are you kidding me?On the embarrassing the kids? they see me working full time .. raising them alone. He has these threats .. if I don't talk with him now.. he'll never talk with me again. We're separated, so wasn't that the point? A friend thought he was doing drugs. I don't get a 'thank you' for taking care of everything while he sorts out his life - instead I get these stupid threats and called names. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why his behavior would change so much -- Could it be drugs? During our marriage he had a drinking problem.. could he be drinking less and this be an effect

Any guess as to this behavior would be pure speculation on my part. Go with your gut feeling.

He doesnt know what he wants- I would say that the nasty threats etc are just from him being jealous that you are able to move on with your life and cope with working and raising the kids- all wihtout him. Its a realisation that he wasnt actually needed in the first place.
Drugs or alcohol may be playing a part in it, its likely if he has used them before. If he says he wants to talk to you then suggest counselling. You never know, it may work, and get your marriage back.

Sorry but it's hard to say...BUT if you are doing everything on your own and he isn't helping and it's only getting worse...it might be time to hang up the phone...Literally. Separated people don't always know this but before dad starts spiraling out of control. You both need a temporary custody order. This is essential AND temporary child support order. Don't wait for him to do something stupid that leaves you and your children up the creek without a paddle.

It could be the alcohol or he may be using drugs.. Did he leave you for another woman? If so maybe he found out the grass is not greener on the other side.
And since you say you are doing OK, emotionally maybe the children have reported this back to him and he is ticked off that you are not still crying your eyes out over him...

Will he go into marriage counseling with you? Do you believe that he is a alcoholic? If so AA would be advised for him...
