WA State L & I: MYOB problems with deductions?

Having a real problem with multiple rate deductions using the accounting package called MYOB...anybody out there have the same problem? If you have found a solution or at least a way to handle this, please let us know! Thank you!

We ticked the categories the employee MAY work on the employee card. Our employees usually work under more than one L&I category during the week - for instance, framing for a couple of days, concrete work for one day, and maybe some landscaping for the remainder. We haven't been able to convince MYOB to assign employee deductions that correlate to the hours worked in each category, rather, it pulls deductions for EACH category that is ticked on the card.

I still don't understand what 'L & I' means.

When you are referring to categories, I think you are referring to 'payroll categories' as categories on their own, are a completely separate feature.

I would strongly recommend against setting separate 鈥榩ayroll categories鈥?in MYOB. You are trying to use 鈥榩ayroll categories鈥?to split the work up into jobs or profit centres and that is not their purpose.

Have you explored the option of using JOBS?
