Competitve dance?

Competitve dance?
I am an average dancer who has danced for 6 years. I want to try competiton, but since i am turing 14 i might not be good enough. I go to temecula dance company, but i would not make it on their teams, because they are really good, i was looking online at this place called just plain dancing and they say they accept all levels for competition. my school doesnt offer a team, could i handle band and dance? are there good dance studios near murrieta and temecula in CA? that allow every level to compete, dont over work you with dancing every day, dont go to over 10 competitions a year, and have great teachers, and have moddest dancing?

You should be able to balance band and dance... if the studio accepts all levels, chances are it doesn't require as much class time as the 'really good' teams at the studio you're at right now... you should figure out how many hours a week you'd have to take, etc. But I think if you want to dance more, you should go for it.

i am involved in both band and competitive dance.
it has been fairly easy to balance up until this year, even though i have cut down on the amount of classes i was taking in order to do marching band.

the balancing all depends on if you are involved with the marching band (which i would assume practices quite alot if its anything like my school) and what days you are free.

and they have many different levels at the competitions. alot of the girls are really good, but there's nothing stopping you from doing the same!!

good luck!

I would go for it if you know it's what you really want, if you try i think you could denfinitly do band and dance unless you're like 1st chair, i find out more about the place and ask to either watch or take a class, warning-if you start competition you'll probably lose some (or a lot of) technique
