My mother-in-law talks trash about me to my son!?

My motherinlaw & I have never gotten along. She's been trying to split me & my husband up for years. She started telling my son that I am a liar & a bad mother! She is a mean spirited, very angry old lady. I just can't take her crap anymore, so we decided to move away, we're 5 miles from her now & we're moving 500 miles away. She tells my son that he should live with her & it doesn't make sense for him to live with us. I don't know how to handle this. Now she has my sister-in-law starting too! She told me that I am not a good mother & that I am being selfish. I've also heard her call herself mommy when talking to my son, I flipped out on her for that. I don't want them around me or my son. He was very upset & told me that he was really sorry that he started believing the things she was saying to him, but now he thinks she is crazy.
I lost 2 babies and she told me she was glad that I lost them! Ok, I get that she hates me, but what kind of person acts this way?

See now I thought I was the only one who had a mother in law who said horrible things. I would think we were related but my
sister in law split as she had enough of the drama. I would like to know why your husband allows his mother to speak to your son that way. No one should ever bad mouth a child's parent to the child. As a grandmother she should know better. Be glad you are moving and invest in caller id

I would avoid her and your husband should tell his sister to knock off the drama and stay out of your business. I think the loss of 2 babies is enough to deal with you don't need their stress.
